It is said that “All workers have benefited from the existence of labor unions.” But the truth is much different. We all know that labor unions raise wages, and this is said to be good. What is unseen, however, tells a much different story. When wages are raised the business will have to fire some workers because it cannot afford to keep the same amount of workers as before. These workers will be out of a job because the wages where raised. Some of those workers spent a lot of money learning how to work at that business, and now the education they paid for will be useless. When labor unions interfere in the economy some workers benefit at the expense of other workers.
